The Jenkins Donelson Foundation is a multi-award winning nonprofit organization that promotes foot health & healthy lifestyles for the underserved and those in need. The JDF fulfills its mission by giving away everyday essentials including shoes, socks, foot care supplies, clothing, beds/bedding, kitchenware, baby goods, season items, bath goods, personal products, detergents/cleaners, bikes, toys, and a wide assortment of household goods to the homeless and low-income free of charge. We are honored to work with podiatrists and provide valuable health information to participants at our health fairs.
Gaithersburg HELP evolved from a vision that started in 1968. The faith community of Gaithersburg recognized that emergencies can happen on a moment’s notice, yet government assistance often takes time. To meet the immediate needs of families affected by financial challenges, local churches and synagogues joined together to form Gaithersburg HELP in an effort to provide short-term assistance in a coordinated fashion.
Giving hope – that’s what Loisann’s Hope House does best. Stories of hope are what help sustain us during difficult times. Our community comes together, inspired, when we work together to give others a hand up — not just a hand out — to end homelessness, and a real chance for a brighter future.
Loisann’s Hope House is the Fredericksburg region’s oldest and largest family homeless shelter. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness one family at a time, and our vision is No Family Homeless.
